Well, some of you might prefer Mages with their Fire Balls and Ice Blasts. Some just love using a 'cheat death' to annoy attackers in arenas.
What is your favourite team set-up and why?

As always, I'll start with mine...
Dragoon-Sniper-Paladin-Rogue-Dancer-Priest
To be honest, I havn't changed my team set-up since the Midvales. I love this because I have pretty much adapted to the way each of the unit works.
Dragoon and Rogue can deal pretty good damage in the first turns... the Paladin and Sniper does the follow up. and at the back, the Priest and Dancer are just for precautionary reasons(in case something doesn't go according to plan).
Sniper-Dancer-Wizard-Guard-Priest-Dancer (though I don't have a strong second dancer and I often use alternate tactics (though I have the characters)). Try to pick off as much as possible with multiple sniper shots. Priority for healers and mages (and maybe archers if my close range units can't get to them). If they get close enough I attack with wizard and warrior. I guard and heal units that are/may be in trouble.
Priest - Unipally - Rogue - Sniper - Gladiator - Dancer/Wizard (Varies)
Unipally is practically impossible to bring down and can heal multitarget and has avenger aura. Allrounder.
Rogue can onehit an enemy of my choice. Sniper to take down wizards or other snipers from safe disatance. Gladiator beacause he simply is a beast. Just run into the enemy lines and strike em down. Last spot is reserved for dancer to have more flexible tactics, or wiz when there are too many heavily-armored enemys
I like most troops and change my setup all the time. In the campaign you need to adopt to the enemy and the map and in the arena you need to rotate to level up all your troops. I use every single one out of the 20 different troops I have regulary. The ones I don't use are boosted away(archer and warrior since I have snipers and gladiator).
If you play with the same setup you grow bored too easaly. Using many of your troops also enable you to continue playing after a few dies without having to wait for them to revive.
My latest 10 arena fights were won by using Wizard/Huntress/Rouge/Thief/2xDancers. It was interesting to use this composition since it forces you to plan enemy movement and placing if you want to maximize the aoe for wizard and huntress. only took a couple small hits from those fights against 3500-4000 ovr teams.
6x Legendary Platnium Dragoon.
Of all the benefits--and there are many--the most unexpected is the 100+ hp shield. Great for doing 20x arena battles in a row.
I use:
attacker: sniper- redmage- sage- 3dancer. redmage is main killer. i wait until the enemy close enough to my unit, then i will kill then within 1 turn. my sniper only for backup if there still 1 enemy left, and too far from my redmage's range.
defender: sniper- rogue- suavehalberdier- huntress- wizard- platinumdragoon. my wizard only for decoy, because if he is not killed first, you will be annoyed with his meteor. suavehalberdier need 2hit to be killed(1 hit if fireball). huntress need 2hit to be killed, her wolf bolt very dangerous i think. platinum dragon just for show off :p he need 2hit to be killed(1 hit if longshot). and the last rogue... you know how she work right?? hahahaha
