Red Wizard

Friend to fire, foe to anything combustible - The Red Wizard ignites all nearby enemies in a burst of magical flames.

Small differences in stats compared to the Wizard: higher attack, skill and magic but lower hp 5-10% difference on all.

Skills:

  • Flame Nova(Battle Skill): Deal [100/115/130/145/160]% to all enemies within 2 tiles. {Rank R}

  • Meteor(Limit Break): The Wizard summons a meteor to rain down on enemies in an area for [150/175/200/225/250]% damage. {Rank N}

    • Resistance: Increase in-battle magic by +[10/20/30/40/50] (Flat amount). {Rank R}

    • Blast Zone: The basic attack deals [15/20/25/30/35]% splash damage. {Rank E}

    • Fire Fury: When the Wizard deals critical hits, the cooldown on Fireball is refreshed. {Rank L}

Tips:

  • Great against clusters of enemies.
  • Weak against Physical damage so try to keep the old guy protected or a little bit far from the fray. His 3 tile attack range would keep him away from counter attacks by melee units.
  • Attack stat determines his damage, magic stat is only for defense (and heal for some characters)
  • Should never be referred to as mage since this can get him mixed up with the sage.

Tactics:

Use exactly like the blue Wizard since they are almost identical besides a few minor stats differences and his battle skill.

Using the 'Flame Nova' is a very risky since the troop is rather squishy and the skill is best utilized when in the middle of a big group. If you wont be able to kill them that round be sure to 'Protect' the Red Wizard with a Guard or Valkyrie.
